Residential Cabling Services
Since 2004 H.E.Q. have been cabling new homes under construction for phone and Internet services. Originally this was through the Telstra Principal Contractor but, in 2013 this was withdrawn. Since 2007 H.E.Q. have dealt directly with Builders and their homeowners to build the Network from the Property Boundary to the end Phone or Data (Internet) points within the homes. H.E.Q. continue to provide this service today and complete on average 3000 homes per year.
H.E.Q. today also cables for Video Intercom, CCTV system, Security and Music Systems.
Civil work in Multi Dwelling Developments
We can work with you to design the Underground Network for your development. We also have the knowledge and ability to complete the installation of the pipe network to meet the Network Service Provider's requirements. We can provide the plan they require to accompany your submission to the Network Service Provider to allow them to peruse and approve the network.
We will assist in the planning to ensure your Underground network within your Development meets the requirements of the Network Service Provider.
NETWORK SERVICE PROVIDER Submissions
Do you have a problem that your Retail Service Provider cannot find your property in the system? We can on your behalf, complete the submission required by the Network Service Provider in your area to assist in obtaining service to your home or Living Units within your development. These Submissions can also be completed for any situation eg: Duplex, Spit Lot and Second Home on a Lot or just that your developer missed including your property in the original request for service in a development.. Cabling and installation of equipment
We will work with you to develop the Smart Network you want within your home. We will structure the cabling to your needs, it may be one telephone point and one Internet/Data point, it may be a Total Smart Home System with multiple Data points and multiple synced Wifi Access Points.
We will discuss your Home Wifi requirements to ensure your whole home is covered and discuss your future needs to provide the best possible future proofing of your home. Once you accept our quote we will liaise with you to complete the cabling and installation of equipment required to make your home work.
Home Automation
Future proof your home with a full smart wiring and installation of Data (Internet)/Telephone, Wifi Acces Points, Video Intercom, CCTV and Music System to ensure your home is ready for the current and future technology. We can complete your smart wiring by adding a Home Hub Enclosure and Modules to further add additional options and fully enhance your home for the future.
With the daily changes of technology in today's society it is important that the correct planning and preparation is done for your home to ensure all aspects of new technology has been considered. With data fast becoming a basic requirement due to the introduction of Smart Homes using Z-wave compatible devices in additional to the hard wired devices in your home. The internet capabilities and accessibility now available to homes, and with the change from conventional TV to IPTV and the Broadband offerings, it is imperative that you ensure your home is fully capable to utilize the technology not only available now, but to ensure it is ready for whats coming tomorrow.
Configuring your Network
After you have your Retail Service Provider Network (eg. Telstra, Optus, iiNet, Internode, etc) commissioned at your home, we can then configure your internal Home Network to ensure all components installed are working. We can assist in programming of your Smart Homes equipment eg, Z-wave and Amazon Alexa or Google Home etc. or just setting up your Retail Service Provider Modem.
Repairs, Maintenance & Additional Items
We can assist with any repairs and maintenance on your Home Network. We will also assist with retro-fits and adding additional items to your home. We can also assist in seting up any additional items and programming of small Home Automation eg, Vera Controllers, Google home or Amazon Alexa or Echo.
This work can only be completed from the Network or Retail Service Provider's demarcation point to inside your home. This demarcation point may be the Nbn Equipment location in your home or the Telstra box on the outside wall of your property.
We cannot assist with issues on the Network Service Providers Network or issues caused by the service they are providing. Please refer to your Retail Service Provider to ensure any issues are not on their Network before calling us. You must be the property owner or have the owners written permission prior to asking H.E.Q. for a quote.

1. Some Items MUST be installed whilst the home is under construction.
2. If your home is under construction, check with your builder to ensure they will allow us to enter the site to install the items you require.
