H.E.Q. is a family owned business, established in 2004.  H.E.Q. completes all facets of Telecommunications Infrastructure from Underground conduit installations through to Internal Cabling in new and existing homes, Units and small commercial locations. H.E.Q. are now designing, installing and programming for Home Automation, Intercoms and CCTV Installations. H.E.Q. is a licensed Security Cabling & Installation Company.  The Management and Administrations Teams along with an extensive background in Telecommunications by all our Fully Qualified Field Technical Team ensure a quality finished product is provided.

Allan Head - Director

After 18 years with Telstra, Allan then left to pursue other opportunities. Whilst in Telstra Allan worked in various areas, Pit & Pipe Construction, moving to Major Cabling which involved installing, jointing and maintaining major cables between Telephone Exchanges. He then managed a Depot for the Pay TV when it began in Australia. He worked on the Foxtel Rollout across the greater Brisbane and Gold Coast regions. His first position post Telstra was as the Manager of a Directional Drilling Company that contracted to Telstra, Energex & Main Roads Qld which he did for a number of years. Choosing to leave this position he found a need for Telecommunications Pre-provisioning specialists in the Residential Building market. Allan managed and built H.E.Q. up from a home based business to what it is today by identifying the future needs of the Industry and basing H.E.Q. on this foundation. H.E.Q. came into being in 2004 and has thrived and is continuing to do so.

Judith Head - Director

After growing up in a home where her father worked for Telstra, and for a year Judith worked for Telstra in the mobile phone division. On leaving school Judith obtained a position in the Banking and Finance Industry. During this time Judith worked her way up to a Branch Manager role and then into a Business Lending Services Management position in the banking industry before leaving and moving into the family business in 2009. Judith manages the overall Finance and Administration of the business and deals directly with their clients to ensure the correct inclusions are offered to meet their clients needs.

David Head - Qualified Financial Planner

After leaving school David worked for H.E.Q. for a gap year as a Field Technician. David then went on to obtain his Financial Planning qualifications and then worked for various Financial Services Companies gaining further experience. David returned to work for H.E.Q. after a number of years and is the key programmer for various Home Automation products such as Yamaha Music Systems, Video Intercomms, CCTV Systems. David understands the Technical side of the business and is the Construction Manager who is the leader in the Product Development for the business and key contact for the Home Automation side of the business. David understands and troubleshoots Programming of Smart Home Hardware and Software to ensure support for our products is available.

Kristi and David both grew up in the Telecommunications Industry and underststood how it works from an early age. They are both competent Manager's and they ensure H.E.Q. runs smoothly when Allan & Judith are absent from the business. They both have a want to improve the business and keep it in line with the ever changing Technology available for the Residential Home market.
